I would update your phone and then download the pwned program. You can find out all about it at iphonehacks.com and might be able to find the older program to unlock your 1.1.1 firmware. If you can somehow just update to the 1.1.2 firmware you can go, on your phone, to jailbreakme.com and do it all over your phone. If you choose that route then you need the anysim program that you will dowload from installer that will be on your phone. *Don't pay anyone to unlock your phone*.
